Pigment, Paper & Pattern: Intuitive Painting Techniques
Bring your intuitive self and enjoy a day filled with painting under the experienced guidance of Chris Cozen.
No matter where you are on the experience meter, this fun explorative class will introduce you to intuitive techniques which you can use to build composition and explore color mixing as it occurs on the surface. Using a full range of acrylic pigments from inky to heavy bodied, you will experience the give and take between paint and surface, both dry and wet.
Learn to control bleeds, dry brush a metallic surface, control transparency, create glazes, use stencils, and create your own patterning.

Pigment, Paper & Pattern: Intuitive Painting Techniques - Saturday, May 16, 2015 (10:30 - 4:30) - $140 (plus $10 materials fee payable at class)
We will be working on 10 surfaces of heavyweight acrylic paper and one surface of YUPO (extruded plastic surface).
The $10 materials fee will cover all materials necessary for the class. All you need to bring is yourself, an apron, and your enthusiasm for art!
Chris Cozen is an experienced teacher, author of Acrylic Solutions: Exploring Mixed Media Layer by Layer, and is a retired member of the Golden Artist Colors Working Artist Team. She now shares her knowledge as a member of the Golden Artist Educators Program.
