Cosmic Nebulae: Acrylic Mixed Media on Board
Taking inspiration from cosmic nebulae formations, Chris will introduce you to Fluid Acrylic Paint, Gel Mediums, and iridescent and interference colors. Along the way she will throw in a little gold leaf, some amazing techniques that will create pattern and complexity, and possibly a bit of hand painted paper.
You'll gain an understanding of paint properties, learn to combine colors for interesting effects, discover wet media techniques, and learn a bit about composition. In the end you will walk away with something otherworldly to hang on your wall!

Cosmic Nebulae with Chris Cozen - Saturday, February 28, 2015 (10:30-4:30) - $140 (plus $5 materials fee payable at class)
Chris will bring the paint and the tools needed for the workshop. Please bring two cradled gesso boards no larger than 18x18, an apron, and a few downloaded images of nebulae from Google search.
Chris Cozen is an experienced teacher, author of Acrylic Solutions: Exploring Mixed Media Layer by Layer, and was part of the Golden Artist Colors Working Artist Team for eight years. She now shares her knowledge as a member of the Golden Artist Educators Program.
